Discovering oneself

Self-knowledge:

Children is this age group have a sensitive period for self-discovery. We support the search for oneself and provide space for getting to know art and one's own work - creative writing, music, drama are part of the topics covered in DOBROdružstvo. In addition to art, children focus in their academic programme on sciences - focusing on chemical and physical experiments.

Peers and relationships:

Both are at the core of this age group. In our educational group, they have space for discussions on various social and ethical topics, they can create their own operating rules, test democracy in practice, propose solutions, and work in a team. They are assigned different roles which they exchange over time to try out different positions and learn to appreciate each one.

Independence and responsibility:

This period is the transition from childhood to adulthood. It is a time when they need to train and verify their own abilities to take care of themselves and others. In our group, they practice this by shopping for food and cooking lunches, working on the farm in cooperation with Jolly Home School in Pezinok, and through special adventure trips - e.g. rafting, overnight train trip to Croatia.
